Cyberpunk 2077 will have an underground after all! CD Projekt RED revealed all the new features of the major update 2.1
CD Projekt RED held a new edition of the REDstreams show, where they talked about all the changes and innovations of the major patch 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077.
Here's What We Know
At the release of Cyberpunk 2077, many gamers were upset that the game didn't feature an underground, which was colourfully shown in one of the trailers. Although the Polish developers announced this year that they have no plans to add it, the underground will still open in Night City.
After completing one of the quests, gamers will be granted access to the underground, which will allow them to move between five lines and 19 stations. Gamers will be able to admire the views of the city or skip a ride (like in GTA V).
Cyberpunk 2077 will feature the ability to listen to the radio while out of transport. Players will be able to select stations and enjoy their favorite music while walking around Knight City, and during important moments and dialogues the music will be turned off.
CD Projekt RED gameplay designers paid a lot of attention to boss fights, and with patch 2.1 they will become much more difficult, spectacular and interesting. For example, the famous Adam Smasher will be able to use new technologies and adapt to any tactics of the player. The developers indicated that when changing the bosses, inspired by some scenes from the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Vehicles will be significantly diversified in the game: new cars and motorbikes will appear, new highways will be opened, additional races will be available. Motorbike riding will become much more realistic and spectacular, players will be able to perform stunts and stand on one wheel, as well as throw knives during the chase.
Accessibility settings will also be improved and moved to a separate Cyberpunk 2077 menu. In addition, there will be new options: font enlargement, changing the colour scheme, detailed difficulty settings, etc.
The full list of changes has been published on the Cyberpunk 2077 website.
Patch 2.1 will be released on 5 December alongside Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition.
