Ship simulator, but not a pirate: gamers criticised the beta version of online action game Skull & Bones
Beta-testing of the long-suffering action game Skull & Bones is over.
Recall, Ubisoft postponed the release date of this project six times, and the development of the game is at least ten years. Judging by the feedback from beta-testing participants, the game has not become better over the past time.
Here's What We Know
On the Reddit forum, gamers do not shy away from harsh criticisms about Skull & Bones. Players claim that the game turns out to be boring, drawn out, uninteresting and lacks the atmosphere of pirate romance.
Skull & Bones has extremely monotonous and boring missions, most of which involve either destroying a ship or delivering some kind of cargo. These actions are accompanied by drawn-out and pointless dialogues that are tiresome rather than entertaining.
Many gamers wrote that they couldn't spend more than an hour in the game and reported that Skull & Bones is "more of a ship simulator, but not an exciting pirate action".
IGN reviewer also shared his opinion. He noted that in some aspects Skull & Bones is better than the previous versions, but the future of the game seems to him vague and not encouraging, although the journalist is more positive about the game than most gamers.
When We Can Expect It
Skull & Bones will release on 16 February 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
