Hollow Knight will have a worthy competitor: Game Informer presented a detailed gameplay video of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Game Informer portal released an extensive gameplay video of action-platformer Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
Here's What We Know
The video allows you to evaluate the main elements of Ubisoft's experimental game, which combines elements from the classic parts of Prince of Persia (which were released in 90s) with modern approaches to metroidvania projects.
Judging by the shown footage, The Lost Crown is a colourful, dynamic and moderately complex game. Game Informer experts separately noted that the developers will allow players not to go through the whole level after an unsuccessful battle with the boss, and immediately start the fight again. This is especially valuable, because the game has a lot of spacious locations with a lot of enemies, and it would be tedious and boring to go through them every time.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown looks great and will surely compete with popular metroidvania games such as Hollow Knight and Dead Cells.
When We Can Expect It
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has "gone gold", so its release will definitely take place on the 18th of January on PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
As a reminder, a free demo of the game will be released on all platforms from 11 January.
