Adam Kiciński, CEO and co-founder of CD Projekt, gave his last interview in this position.

As a reminder, from 1 January 2024 he will move to the position of Chief Strategy Officer, and in 2025 he will become a member of the Supervisory Board.

Here's What We Know

In a conversation with journalists of the Polish edition of Pieniądze, Adam Kicinski admitted that he is proud of the results his company has achieved. He reminded that CD Projekt is developing several ambitious projects, including Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, a new part of The Witcher and a remake of the first part of the cult fantasy franchise, as well as other games about which little is known yet.

In 2024, Polish developers will start full-fledged work on the Cyberpunk sequel, and The Witcher Polaris team will be increased to four hundred people. In addition, Kicinski is confident that CD Projekt RED will "become much stronger" in the next few years.

Undoubtedly, the success of the Polish studio and its grandiose plans do not give rest to the largest companies in the game industry, which, no doubt, would like to take over CD Projekt and its franchises. But Adam Kicinski assured that this will not happen, as the company values its independence and creative freedom and is not considering a merger with industry giants.

Flashback

As of 1 January 2024, Kiczyński's position and powers will be shared by creative director Adam Badowski and commercial director Michał Nowakowski, who have been working at CD Projekt for about 20 years and are professionals in their field.
