Sega's strange decision: the New Game+ mode in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will only be available to purchasers of the Deluxe and Ultimate editions
Video game developers continue to surprise with strange and short-sighted decisions. Just a few days ago, a representative of Ubisoft said that "gamers need to get used to subscription services and stop striving to own purchased games".
Now gamers are outraged by the decision of the Japanese company Sega.
Here's What We Know
On the Reddit forum there was a wave of indignation over the news that the "New Game+" mode in the dramatic crime JRPG Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be available only to those who purchase expensive versions of the game - Deluxe and Ultimate-editions. Buying them, players will receive a bonus Premium Holiday pack, which includes the said mode.
Probably, in time this option will appear for the buyers of regular versions of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, but Sega's action looks as strange as possible and may hit the company's reputation.
We will follow the comments of Sega representatives, hopefully they will reconsider their decision.
When We Can Expect It
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will release on 26 January 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One.
