Dataminers found a mention of the emergence of subscription services in EGS. For example, they found information about EA Play. Players will be able to purchase an annual or monthly tariff to play most Electronic Arts games, as well as get exclusive discounts and trial versions of new EA releases.

But it would also be a miracle if with a subscription you didn't have to download a third-party launcher and launch games from there, as is done on PC Game Pass, which is not very convenient.
