CD Projekt has attracted the creators of Diablo, Hitman, Control, Dishonored and other equally famous projects to the development of Cyberpunk 2077 sequel
CD Projekt RED has fully started the early production phase of Project Orion, the direct sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, and has published a list of specialists who have been hired in the Boston and Canadian offices of the Polish company.
Here's What We Know
Not only CD Projekt team is involved in the work on Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, but also developers who have a huge experience in the game industry and have worked on mega-popular franchises.
Thus, CD Projekt RED North America has recruited the following staff members:
- Executive Producer Dan Hernberg - previously served as head of production at Amazon Games and Panic Button, was a senior product manager at Blizzard, and worked on New World, Apex Legends and Diablo III;
- design director Ryan Barnard is a former game director at Massive Entertainment and head of gameplay at IO Interactive (creator of the Hitman series);
- Engineering Manager Alan Villani - was VP of Technology at Warner Bros. Games. Games and has worked on several Mortal Kombat titles;
- lead writer Anna Megill - has worked on Control, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Guild Wars 2 and Playground Games' upcoming Fable;
- co-writer Alexander Freed - was the lead writer on Star Wars: The Old Republic. He has worked at DICE, Obsidian, Wizards of the Coast and FoxNext.
Recall that unlike Cyberpunk 2077, Project Orion is being created on Unreal Engine 5, which could potentially speed up and simplify the work on the game. And the game's creative director Igor Sarzyński does not hide his ambitions and states that "Cyberpunk 2077 was just a warm-up, and the next game will make a furore".
