Nightingale's developers have listened to players' wishes and are already working on introducing an offline mode
A few days ago, the fantasy survival simulator Nightingale was released in Early Access on Steam and Epic Games Store.
In general, the game turned out to be not bad, but users are dissatisfied with the fact that even for single-player the game requires a constant connection to the Internet.
Here's What We Know
Inflexion Games studio reported that they took into account the wishes of players and are already working on the implementation of offline mode in Nightingale.
The developers explained its absence by the fact that according to their idea players should work closely with each other to achieve the goal and many aspects of the game were created with this concept in mind. But now that players have expressed interest in playing Nightingale without an internet connection, the game designers will add this option as soon as possible.
The concept behind the game from the beginning was to create interconnected worlds that can be explored in co-operative mode - the universe we envisioned is larger than a single world or server. As a consequence, early in development we made a choice between supporting co-op at release and creating an offline mode.
Co-operative gameplay, which involves group members being in multiple worlds, was a more challenging technical problem, so we tackled it first. Looking back on this step, we realise that we incorrectly predicted your expectations of the game.
Our first priority now is to develop the offline mode, and we plan to release it as soon as possible.
