Nearly a third of Supermassive Games employees will be out of work: Until Dawn, The Quarry, and The Dark Pictures Anthology authors are facing a massive wave of layoffs
Unfortunately, the wave of mass layoffs continues in the game industry.
Almost all companies are forced to reduce their staffs and this fate did not pass over the famous British studio Supermassive Games - the authors of Until Dawn, The Quarry and The Dark Pictures Anthology.
Here's What We Know
Today the management of Supermassive Games announced the hard, but forced decision to lay off some employees.
The company has not publicly announced how many people will be out of work, but Bloomberg news agency, citing its own sources, claims that 90 people will be laid off, and another 150 people could lose their jobs in the future, despite the fact that Supermassive Games has only 350 developers.
The fact that the company will be without a third of its staff could have a negative impact on the development of horror platformer Little Nightmares 3, which is due for release in 2024.
