Perhaps the only critical drawback of Alan Wake 2 was its incredibly high system requirements. Because of them, many gamers refused to buy the game, as their computers would not be able to run it.

Remedy Entertainment studio took this problem into account and eliminated it.

Here's What We Know

Today Finnish developers released patch 1.0.16.1 for PC-version of Alan Wake 2.

In it game designers optimised the load on video cards and processors of computers, thanks to which they managed to significantly reduce the minimum system requirements of Alan Wake 2.

Now to run the horror in 1080p resolution at 30 FPS the following specifications are enough:

  • video card - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5600 XT;
  • processor - Intel i5-7600K or similar AMD processor;
  • RAM - 16 GB;
  • free space - 90 GB on SSD.

The developers have published a detailed table of updated Alan Wake 2 requirements:

Alan Wake 2 is available on PC (EGS), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

Perhaps the lowered requirements will have a positive impact on the game's sales, although they fully satisfy Remedy, but in comparison with many popular projects look not so impressive.
