In recent years, almost all major game developers have faced massive leaks of confidential data.

Information is stolen from servers, leaked by employees, disclosed by test participants, sold by partners. Often games are hacked and put into free access a few days before release.

There is no way to avoid leaking important data, but Irdeto, the company that developed and released the Denuvo DRM system, offers a solution to the problem.

Here's What We Know

Developers from Irdeto announced a toolkit called TraceMark.

This programme allows you to fight internal leaks. TraceMark for Gaming marks all game assets with invisible tags at different stages of development. These marks do not affect the quality of the prototype and the final result, but allow you to track who had access to the material, made edits to it and had the opportunity to leak data.

It is important that the TraceMark system can be used at any stage of development, even before the start of beta-testing, which is the stage where a huge number of leaks occur.
