Is a release close at hand? Ubisoft announced stress-testing of servers of online shooter XDefiant
As if in response to journalist Tom Henderson's materials about problems in the development of XDefiant online shooter, Ubisoft finally got in touch and shared some important news about the game.
Here's What We Know
The company announced that a 12-hour XDefiant test will soon take place on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series to help assess the readiness of the game's servers. Ubisoft invites all those interested to participate in the testing to get the most objective picture of the game, based on feedback from gamers.
Ubisoft hopes that immediately after the testing it will be able to announce the release date of XDefiant, which has already been postponed several times.
According to Henderson, XDefiant's developers have become too fond of imitating Call of Duty, with management constantly demanding that subordinates add unnecessary and pointless mechanics to the game that spoil the overall state of the shooter time after time.
Apparently, we will soon find out how right Henderson was and whether the developers managed to come to any unified vision of the project.
