Actor Troy Baker has denied rumours of his involvement in the voiceover of GTA VI

In December 2023, Rockstar Games studio presented the first trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6.

This event caused an extremely strong reaction of the entire gaming community, the trailer collected a huge number of views on YouTube and in the social network X/Twitter.

Gamers started to parse the debut trailer frame by frame and despite the fact that one of the two main characters uttered only one word, the fans with a fine ear recognised the famous actor Troy Baker in Jason's voice.

Here's What We Know

Baker is arguably one of the best known voice actors, having voiced characters in BioShock Infinite, The Last of Us, Infamous: Second Son, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Tales from the Borderlands, Resident Evil 6, Far Cry 4 and Death Stranding - to name a few!

Unsurprisingly, gamers would love to hear his voice in the most anticipated game, GTA VI, but unfortunately that won't be happening. On The Movie Dweeb podcast, Troy Baker denied his participation in the voiceover of the highly anticipated crime action game.

Alas, it wasn't Baker who said the phrase "I trust".

I want this guy, whoever he is, to be honoured for his work, because I'm sure it's going to be great.

But who - we won't find out until 2025.
