Take-Two's CEO doesn't think the cost of the Red Dead Redemption port for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 is overpriced and called it "economically reasonable"
Immediately after the announcement of Red Dead Redemption port for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, many gamers were surprised by the price of the game.
The developers from Rockstar Games want $50/€50 for the 12-year-old action game and its add-on.
The public justifiably thought that this price is excessive, as what the game designers will offer is neither a remake nor a remaster, but a port that does not contain any significant improvements.
CEO of Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick talked to the editors of IGN portal and explained the pricing policy of the company.
Here's What We Know
According to Strauss Zelnick, this price is economically justified and cannot be considered overpriced, because the developer provides a quality game, and even with the Undead Nightmare add-on, "which is an independent game" ©.
When asked why the cult game hasn't been released on PC so far, Take-Two CEO said that he leaves this decision to the Red Dead Redemption developers from Rockstar Games.
Well, the rightness of Take-Two, regarding the port of RDR will be able to confirm or deny gamers with their wallets. Only sales will show who was right.
