Ubisoft has postponed the release of online shooter XDefiant due to delayed certification of the game by Sony and Microsoft. Most likely, the project will be released in early October
Ubisoft promised to release the free-to-play online shooter XDefiant in the summer of 2023, but it didn't happen.
Later, the French developer said that it plans to release the game in September, but even here there were difficulties.
Here's What We Know
The release date of XDefiant is still unknown, but Ubisoft executive producer Mark Rubin on the game's website published an explanation of the reasons for the delay of the project's release.
According to him, the company has encountered unforeseen difficulties due to the fact that Sony and Microsoft are in no hurry to certify the game for release on their consoles. And the developer does not want to release the shooter only on PC.
Negotiations with Sony and Microsoft are ongoing and the situation is nearing a solution, so Mark Rubin optimistically states that XDefiant will be released in late September or early October.
