Analytical data from GSD shows that video game sales in Europe in September 2023 fell compared to last year, but only by 1%. However, the new data still shows interesting information on the sales of games and consoles.

Here's What We Know

EA Sports FC 24 was the best-selling game in the UK and was number 1 in most countries. However, sales dropped by 10% compared to the launch of FIFA 23. Although if we compare it to FIFA 22, the difference is only 3.7%.

Sales of another sports simulator, NBA 2K24, also declined. In the first three weeks, the figures fell by 17% compared to NBA 2K23. However, the game became the third most popular in Europe.

"Starfield became the silver medallist. However, the game failed to displace Forza Horizon 5, which became the biggest Xbox game of this generation. In the first four weeks, Starfield sold 13% less than Forza Horizon 5. However, there is no data from Game Pass, where Starfield has been since its release, so it is difficult to fully assess the situation.

The Crew Motorfest took the fourth place, and its launch sales exceeded those of The Crew 2 by 6.5%.

Mortal Kombat 1 rounds out the top five. However, in three weeks, sales fell by almost 39% compared to Mortal Kombat 11 in 2019.

The sales of Titanfall 2 are also worth noting. In September, the game received a big discount on Steam, which helped to attract an audience of thousands and boost sales.
