Rumour: Naughty Dog is preparing a native version of The Last of Us Part II for PlayStation 5, information about the game was spotted in the PSN database
On November 17, PlayStation Game Size account reported on Twitter that information about the native version of The Last of Us Part II for PlayStation 5 appeared in the PSN database. The presence of the updated version was also confirmed by sources of insider Tom Henderson.
Here's What We Know
Officially, Sony or Naughty Dog never talked about TLoU II for PS5, but there were rumours that hinted at it. For example, information in the profile of one of the developers on LinkedIn or the story of the game's composer Gustavo Santaolalla that "in the new version, you can ask him to play certain songs.
The PlayStation 5 version is likely to be officially announced at The Game Awards, which will take place on 7 December. However, it still remains a mystery what exactly to expect from the updated version. Of course, the game will have improved graphics, but Gustavo spoke about "the ability to play certain songs," so maybe we will get a lot of cut or new content? It is also interesting to know what the price for PS4 owners will be and whether The Last of Us Part II will now be available on PC.
