On the third day the discussions about the debut trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI are still going on.

Both gamers and game industry experts are actively sharing their opinions. Many doubt that the game will have the same quality of graphics, as shown in the video, and their fears can be understood, because the shots look really incredibly realistic.

However, a former employee of Rockstar Games confirms that GTA VI will offer exactly the same graphics as in the trailer.

Here's What We Know

Former Rockstar animator Mike York, who worked on Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, conducted a detailed analysis of the trailer on his YouTube channel and stated that most of the scenes in the video are shot directly on the game engine and reflect the real quality of GTA VI graphics.

He explained that all modern Rockstar games use the Rage engine, which is used to create not only gameplay and locations, but also all the cut-scenes, while in most games, the staging scenes are rendered separately from the game. In short, if the developers have embellished some fragments of the debut video, it is insignificant.

Approximately the same conclusion came to the experts and Digital Foundry. They assumed that because of the highest quality graphics and amazing detail, the game will run only in 30 FPS, otherwise it will not run on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

Digital Foundry confirmed that the scenes shown are not prepared separately, but filmed directly in the game.

Well, this is great news: gamers can expect a great game from Rockstar Games, which will set a new bar for the whole industry.

When We Can Expect It

GTA 6 will be released in 2025 only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
