Sony has already announced its plans to expand the PlayStation audience through film adaptations of its franchises, and this has already affected projects such as The Last of Us, Twisted Metal, and Gran Turismo, as well as others that have already been confirmed for development. One such project was Gravity Rush, which was previously considered Sony's biggest success.

Details

At CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Sony showed short clips of Gravity Rush: the video demonstrated a new visualisation technology, Torchlight, and showed several scenes from the film with a female character jumping from a skyscraper and then flying down to floating island cities, where she is attacked by a winged creature. Between the scenes of the trailer, there was a brief behind-the-scenes look at how the shooting went.

Other PlayStation properties in development include Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, and the already announced second season of HBO's The Last of Us. At the same time, the script for the God of War series, which is to be released on Amazon Prime, and the Horizon series, which is being developed by Netflix, are currently being written.
