Gameplay trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be released on January 31
After detailing the three playstyles in Vampire: The Masqurade - Bloodlines 2, The Chinese Room confirmed that a new trailer with gameplay will be published on January 31, and the next Developer's Diary will appear in two weeks and will tell about the last stage of the game - "Exploring the World of Darkness".
Here's What We Know
In the meantime, Alex Skidmore, the game's creative director, shared some details about the controls and how the developer is choosing "immersion over complexity" with a "streamlined control scheme with actions that are easy to select and play in all three play styles."
For example, players will be able to use four abilities simultaneously, which will be tied to different buttons on the controller, and dodge. One of the high-level mechanics is counter-attacking, which is performed by dodging enemies with melee attacks, stunning them:
It is fine for players to never do this move, but for those that want a higher skill ceiling, it is there.
Despite the fact that the number of available abilities seems to be limited, the head of the company assures that the development team wanted "players to think about what cool things they want to do next, not how they do it".
Where To Play
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC.
