We wrote that Hideo Kojima showed 10 minutes of Death Stranding 2 at PlayStation State of Play. For the players, the game's presentation was probably the best part of the presentation, and some moments from the trailer are still being discussed. One of the most talked-about moments was the live little puppet that Sam takes with him on his journey. So now Hideo decided to tell us a little more about this character.

Here's What We Know

This character was specially lowered in frame rate to give the puppet a stop-motion look. This is a technique where the character moves frame by frame, not smoothly. The inspiration for this character was the Bunraku puppet, a large puppet of traditional Japanese puppet theatre and ventriloquist puppets.

Although many players have already written that the character resembles the writer Alan Wake from Alan Wake 2 (but they are really very similar). So some people are already joking that the game will have the best collaboration in the industry in recent years.

When We Can Expect It

Death Stranding 2 is scheduled for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5.
