Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the sequel to the remake of the 1997 cult JRPG, is set for release at the end of February.

Sony will hold a special State of Play edition dedicated to Rebirth on 6 February, but one of the show's surprises may have been prematurely revealed.

Here's What We Know

PlayStation Game Size 's datamining collective found mention of a free demo of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the PlayStation Network servers.

It is reported that in the trial version, players will be able to get the item Kupo Charm - Survival Set, which can be transferred to the full version of the game.

Note that Square Enix developers almost always release demos of new Final Fantasy games, so there's no reason not to believe PlayStation Game Size's information.

When We Can Expect It

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will release on 29 February 2024 exclusively on PlayStation 5, but the game will be coming to PC in a few months.
