Among the games that were shown at State of Play, Stellar Blade by Shift Up stood out. Probably, many people noticed that the game looks like NieR: Automata - and it is not without reason.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with Famitsu, the studio's CEO and director, Kim Hyung Tae, said that the well-known PlatinumGames game was a significant source of inspiration for his project. Tae expressed his desire to create a game similar to NieR: Automata, emphasising its influence on his creative vision.

Other projects that have also influenced the development of Stellar Blade to varying degrees include Bayonetta, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Ty's fascination with God of War, which offered a huge game world without being a fully open world, likely influenced Stellar Blade's semi-open world design.

Where To Play

Stellar Balde will be available on PlayStation 5 upon release.

When We Can Expect It

The game is scheduled for release on 26 April.
