The director of Arrowhead Game Studios said that it took almost 8 years to develop Helldivers 2

Recently, Arrowhead Game Studios released Helldivers 2 on PC and PlayStation 5, and the game was an immediate success on the "people's" platform - more than 119 thousand active players on Steam and this number is growing. Also, the studio's director, Johan Pilestedt, said that it took the studio 8 years to develop the sequel.

In his Twitter account, he writes:

"7 years, 11 months and 26 days of my life spent on making a game that truly devolves into a farce of my favourite movies and books from my upbringing. Thank you all for being in in the joke of shouldering the cape of a totalitarian soldier".

Regarding the future of Helldivers 2, the developer has confirmed that it plans to gradually add new enemies, biomes, objectives, and story content.
