Analysts are predicting that Sony will release an improved version of the PlayStation 5 game console in late 2024
For a long time, journalists, insiders and analysts have been claiming that Sony is preparing to release an improved version of the PlayStation 5 game console.
In the press, the device has been dubbed PlayStation 5 Pro, similar to the PS4 Pro, but the Japanese company has yet to share any details.
Insiders Tom Henderson and Jeff Grubb have long revealed information about the specifications of the PlayStation 5 Pro. They claim that the console will be on the market by the end of 2024 and it is likely that this could be true.
Here's What We Know
CNBC journalists spoke to analysts at Tokyo-based consultancy Kantan Games, who claim that the PS5 Pro will indeed be released in the second half of 2024.
Experts believe that Sony wants to release a more powerful console somewhat in advance to provide gamers with a comfortable launch of GTA VI and Death Stranding 2, as almost everyone agrees that the base model of the PlayStation 5 is already somewhat outdated for such technological games and will not be able to guarantee decent performance.
At the same time, analysts do not rule out that the release of the console will be delayed until 2025, closer to the release of the aforementioned games.
