Shenzen UFO Flying Saucer Technology has revealed a passenger drone in the form of a flying saucer
Researchers from Beihang University and Northwestern Polytechnic University of China, together with Shenzen UFO Flying Saucer Technology, have revealed an unusual electric passenger drone.
Here's What We Know
The eVTOL was unveiled at an event in Shenzhen. The drone looks like a flying saucer. It is equipped with 6 holes with 12 blades. The design provides maximum stability and safety through evenly distributed thrust. By the way, this aircraft is able to land not only on land, but also on water.
The electric flying saucer has a battery with an operating time of up to 15 minutes. The drone can fly at an altitude of up to 200 metres and with a top speed of up to 50 km/h. The device has an autopilot.
The developers of the drone intend to use the novelty for sightseeing and promotional activities. There are no plans for mass production yet.
