Xiaomi unveils Redmi 12: the company's new budget smartphone with a 90Hz screen, Helio G88 chip and 50 MP camera
Xiaomi held an event in Thailand where it announced a new budget smartphone under the Redmi brand.
Here's What We Know
The new product has been named Redmi 12. The smartphone is the successor to last year's Redmi 11 model. The gadget has got a 6.79-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The smartphone runs a MediaTek Helio G88 processor paired with 4/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The device has NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 and a microSD card slot. The gadget is powered by a 5000mAh battery. It supports 18W charging.
As for the cameras, there are four in the novelty: a single 8 MP front and a main one with three 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP sensors. The Redmi 12 is framed with IP53 protection and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Redmi 12 has already started selling in Thailand. The novelty is available in Midnight Black, Sky Blue and Polar Silver colour and several memory modifications for $155. In Europe, the smartphone will appear a little later and will cost €200.
