Global version of Redmi 12C with Android 12 and Helio G85 tested on Geekbench
Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi 12C smartphone in China on the last day of 2022. The global version will hit the market soon too.

The Redmi 12C has been spotted in the databases of regulators NBTC (Thailand) and BIS (India) and has also passed the Geekbench 5 performance test. The model number of the smartphone is 22120RN86G. The last symbol indicates that this is the global version.
Geekbench has revealed some basic technical parameters of the international variant of the Redmi 12C. Thus, the smartphone will get Android 12 operating system and Helio G85 mobile processor. This chip is used in the Redmi Note 9, announced in 2020.
A version with 4GB of RAM was tested in Geekbench. It managed to score 355 points in Single Core mode and 1,173 points in Multi-Core mode.
The Chinese Redmi 12C is equipped with a 50MP camera and a 6.71" HD+ display. The battery capacity was 5,000mAh. The smartphone costs between $100 and $130 depending on the package.
The global version of the smartphone should be called POCO C55, but it is possible that in some countries the model will be released under the Redmi brand. An announcement date has not been specified.
