Redmi 12R - Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, 50MP camera and Android 13 cost $135

At the end of June, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 12R smartphone. After almost two months, the company presented a cheaper model. It was named Redmi 12R.

Here's What We Know

The smartphone is equipped with an LCD display of Full HD+ format (2460 x 1080 pixels). The IPS matrix has a frame refresh rate of 90Hz and a peak brightness of 550 nits, and the diagonal is 6.79".

Redmi 12R has received a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2+ processor. The 4nm chipset has a CPU clocked up to 2.2GHz, Adreno 613 graphics, 5G modem and is complemented by 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 128GB and the battery capacity is 5000 mA*h.

At the back, there is a 50 MP main camera. For selfies, there is a front-facing 5 MP module. The Redmi 12R also gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP53 waterproofing, IR port, headphone jack and 18W fast charging.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The smartphone is available for order in China. It is priced at $135. The Redmi 12R runs Android 13 operating system, augmented with MIUI 14 firmware.
