Redmi 13R 5G: 90Hz LCD display, MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chip, 5000 mAh battery and 50 MP camera for $140

Xiaomi has unexpectedly announced a new budget smartphone Redmi in China.

The novelty was named Redmi 13R 5G. The gadget received a plastic body with three colours: Star Rock Black, Fantasy Purple and Wave Water Green.

The device is equipped with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass, HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and 450 nits peak brightness. The new product is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor paired with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.

The Redmi 13R 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging, 50 MP main dual camera, 5 MP front camera, USB-C port, microSD slot and 3.5mm headphone jack. Incidentally, the specifications of the Redmi 13R 5G are very similar to those of the Redmi 13C 5G. The smartphone recently made its debut in India.
