Redmi A3: 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G36 chip, dual camera and 5000mAh battery for $90

Xiaomi has announced a new budget smartphone Redmi.

Here's What We Know

The novelty was named Redmi A3. The gadget received a plastic body and three colours: Lake Blue, Midnight Black and Oilive Green . The smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch LCD screen. The panel has HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

The Redmi A3 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 processor paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. The novelty features an 8 MP + 0.08 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and is charged by a 10W power supply. The device has a USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.3, a headphone jack and a microSD slot.

The gadget comes with Android 13 operating system and MIUI 14 proprietary interface.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Sales of the Redmi A3 will start on 23 February, but only in India for now. The smartphone will be available in three memory variants:

• Redmi A3, 3/64 GB - $90
• Redmi A3, 4/128GB - $100
• Redmi A3, 6/129 GB - $110
