The US has transferred less than a dozen ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles to Ukraine
A few weeks ago it was reported that if the ATACMS deliveries were approved, the United States would transfer a small batch of ballistic missiles to Ukraine. This appears to have been the case.
Here's What We Know
The first batch includes no more than a dozen ATACMS missiles. This is reported by the Associated Press news agency, citing US officials who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity.
As expected, the ATACMS transfer was announced after the use. On the night of 17 October, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched strikes on two airfields. A few hours later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the use of ballistic missiles.
After the president's statement, the Armed Forces of Ukraine published the first video of the ATCMS use. The video shows the launch of three tactical ballistic missiles at once. So the Defence Forces still have a few ATACMS left.
According to unconfirmed information, Ukraine received a version of BLK 1 SN. 411240 with a cluster warhead. It has M74 submunitions and a launch range of up to 165 kilometres.
