The Czech Republic will purchase a batch of Israeli I-Derby ER air-to-air missiles. The manufacturer is the Rafael company.

Here's What We Know

The contract for the purchase of I-Derby ER will be signed in the coming days. The Czech Republic will pay $120 million for 48 air-to-air missiles. It is expected that the Israeli company will be able to complete the deliveries within three to four years.

The I-Derby ER will complement four batteries of Spyder surface-to-air missiles. The Czech Republic ordered the short-range air defence systems about two years ago. Deliveries are due to be completed by 2026.

The new agreement will include the participation of Czech industry. In particular, to provide integrated logistics support, information systems and missile containers. This will keep $14 million in the country.
