Samsung will no longer update the Android OS on its first foldable smartphone Galaxy Fold

The original Galaxy Fold smartphone model will no longer receive operating system updates.

Here's What We Know

The device is currently running on Android 12 operating system and Android 13 with One UI 5.0 shell the smartphone will no longer receive. As for security patches, their release will be switched from monthly to quarterly.

Flashback

The Galaxy Fold debuted in 2019 with the Android 9 Pie operating system. Since then, the smartphone has received three major OS updates and numerous security patches.
