Time to retire: Samsung is ending support for the original Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone

Samsung has announced that it will stop supporting the Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone.

The gadget the other day received the latest firmware with the November security patch. There will be no more new system updates for the device.

Galaxy Fold debuted in 2019 with Android 9 Pie on board. Since then, the gadget has received three major system updates: Android 10, Android 11, and Android 12. The latest firmware was released for the device two years ago. Since then, the gadget has only received quarterly security patches from Google.
