SpaceX launched the Falcon-9 rocket with the Dragon spacecraft, which delivered tomato seeds to the International Space Station

American aerospace company SpaceX sent to the International Space Station (ISS) spacecraft Dragon with 3500 kg of cargo.

A Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Dragon spacecraft lifted off from the Cape Canaveral Cosmodrome at 9:20 p.m. (EET) on November 26. Eight minutes after launch, the first stage successfully returned to Earth and landed on the Just Read the Instructions pad in the Atlantic Ocean.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is experimenting with growing plants in space as part of the Veggie program. Dragon has delivered Red Robin tomato seeds to the ISS to continue the project. Astronauts will try to grow them on the station.

In addition to seeds, the spacecraft delivered research equipment, food and iROSA solar arrays to the ISS, which will be used in upgrades to the orbiting station. The astronauts have already integrated two iROSA cells, and a total of six batteries are to be installed.

The spacecraft successfully docked with the ISS at 08:30 (EDT) or 05:30 (PDT) on November 27. Dragon will stay with the station for 45 days.
