SpaceX fails to set unique launch record - NASA postpones Crew-6 mission to 2 March
SpaceX had planned to send a Crew Dragon carrying four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS). But the launch of the Crew-6 mission has been postponed twice.
Here's What We Know
On February 27, 150 seconds before liftoff, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that the launch had been cancelled. The reason was a problem with the fluid that causes the Falcon 9 rocket to ignite.
Specialists have drained the fuel and went home, and the mission was rescheduled for February 28. SpaceX thus came close to a unique achievement. The aerospace company was able to make three launches in less than 12 hours. The previous record for that number of launches was 34 hours. It was set about two months ago.
However, NASA once again had to cancel the launch of the manned mission. This time it was possible to avoid technical problems. The reason for this was bad weather. The third window was originally scheduled for March 1, but the space agency decided to schedule the launch immediately for March 2. The time is 13:43 (EDT) or 10:43 (PDT). The Crew-6 mission will be the debut for the Falcon 9 first stage.
