Tesla held Investor Day. The 4-hour event showcased a lot of interesting things. Let's start with the Optimus humanoid robots.

Here's What We Know

The humanoids were unveiled last year. Elon Musk's company demonstrated two prototypes in the autumn. One received Tesla actuators, and for the other the actuators were ordered from third-party firms.

Within a few months, Optimus robots had learned to do more complicated things than just move around. Tesla showed how two humanoids went about creating a third robotic creature.

The video shows Optimus walking up to a table, picking up a robotic arm and heading to a nearby table. There, a second Optimus used a screwdriver to help bolt the arm to a third humanoid.

Elon Musk said that Optimus robots use the most advanced artificial intelligence available for use in the real world. Also the head of Tesla noticed that the same software platform, which is used in the control systems of electric cars of the company, is involved in humanoids.

The American billionaire sees a prospect in robotic devices. He believes that a large enough fleet of advanced robots will allow countries to increase their GDP. In the future, there will be at least one robot for every person living on Earth. In case the machines rebel, Musk noted that a human could beat the robot or run away from it, as Optimus is only 8 km/h.
