SpaceX has made more than 1,000 changes to the Starship and plans to make a second attempt at orbital flight before the end of summer
In April, prototype Starship and Super Heavy rockets exploded during the first attempt at a test orbital flight. A second attempt could be made before the end of the summer.
Here's What We Know
SpaceX specialists have made more than 1,000 changes to the design of the spacecraft. The head of the aerospace company, Elon Musk, believes Starship has about a 60 percent chance of success.
A few months ago, he said there was a 50 percent chance the spacecraft would crash. It did. At an altitude of about 40km, the rocket system went into an uncontrolled spin and exploded.
According to Musk, the success of the second attempt will largely depend on how well the company's experts deal with the separation of the stages. SpaceX is expected to make a second attempt to send Starship into space in about six weeks.
