Sony Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition - Snapdragon 8 Gen1, 4K OLED display, 16GB RAM and Xperia Stream fan case for $1330

Sony introduced a new version of the smartphone Xperia 1IV. The model is called Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition and is positioned as a gaming flagship.

Here's What We Know

In technical terms, compared to the original Xperia 1 IV, there is only one difference - the presence of 16 GB of RAM instead of 12 GB. The amount of built-in storage is 512 GB. In addition, the smartphone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, a 4K OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a diagonal of 6.5".

The main camera resolution is 12 MP + 12 MP + 12 MP + 0.3 MP (ToF 3D), and the front camera is 12 MP. The rear camera has Zeiss optics. Sony Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition has kept the stereo speakers, battery capacity of 5000 mAh, wired and wireless charging, as well as NFC, Mini-Jack and water protection standard IP68.

A key feature of the new version of the flagship is support for a case with a fan. The new device is called Xperia Stream and is only compatible with the Xperia 1 IV. By blowing on the phone case allows you to cool both the back and the front of the gadget. The accessory has overall dimensions of 185 x 80 x 39 mm and weighs 142 g.

Price

The Sony Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition along with the Xperia Stream case is priced at $1330. You can buy the accessory separately for $170. Whether the set will be sold outside of Japan is unknown at this time.
