SpaceX cancelled the launch of Starlink satellites on a Falcon 9 rocket 40 seconds before liftoff for an unknown reason
SpaceX failed to send a new batch of Starlink satellites into orbit. The mission was cancelled less than a minute before liftoff.
Here's What We Know
SpaceX had prepared everything for the launch of 54 Starlink v2 Mini spacecraft. For the first stage, this mission was supposed to be the 16th, which is a repeat of the record set the other day. However, for unknown reasons, the company stopped the countdown 40 seconds before liftoff. The backup date is July 15.
In May 2019, SpaceX launched Starlink satellites into orbit for the first time. The company has flown a total of 94 missions in more than four years, and the Starlink constellation consists of more than 4,700 first- and second-generation spacecraft.
SpaceX now uses Falcon 9 rockets to send Starlink and Starlink v2 Mini satellites into space. In the future, the company intends to launch massive Starlink Gen 2 vehicles into orbit using the Starship rocket system.
