Denmark transfers the first batch of German Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks to Ukraine
In mid-summer, Denmark and Germany announced the impending delivery of Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine. The first batch of combat vehicles has already been delivered.

Denmark in late winter announced plans, together with Germany and the Netherlands, to transfer Leopard 1A5 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ministry of Defence of the Scandinavian country announced the beginning of deliveries the day before.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces received the first batch of Leopard 1A5, which consists of 10 German tanks. In total, Ukraine is to receive about 100 combat vehicles.
The tank crews are undergoing training in Germany. Denmark has sent its instructors to work together with German specialists to speed up the transfer of Leopard 1A5s to Ukraine.
