Ukraine to receive more Gepard self-propelled air defence systems to protect energy infrastructure from Russian drones
The number of Gepard anti-aircraft tanks in service with the Ukrainian Defence Forces will increase. This was announced today by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

Ukraine will receive more German-made self-propelled anti-aircraft self-propelled systems. Additional deliveries of Gepard will allow to provide more effective defence of the country's energy infrastructure ahead of the winter period.
Gepard has proved itself in the fight against Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. These are Iranian drones, but according to the latest information, the Russian federation was able to localise production on its territory.
The Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun has two 35mm cannons. The range of fire is up to 4 kilometres. The Ukrainian Defence Forces have 46 German anti-aircraft guns in service.
