Ukraine together with Sweden plans to produce 1,000 CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for the AFU

It has recently become known that Ukraine will produce produce Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicles. Now information about the number of vehicles Ukraine plans to produce has appeared on the Internet.

Here's What We Know

According to Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar, Ukraine is going to produce 1000 of these BMPs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, there are no approximate production dates yet. By the way, there are about 50 CV90s in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine now. They were given to Ukraine by Sweden.

Flashback

CV90 is a Swedish infantry fighting vehicle, which was developed in 1984 by Hägglunds company (owned by British BAE Systems) by order of the Swedish Army. Production of the vehicle began in 1993. Since then, about 1,170 BMPs in various modifications have been produced.
