Sweden has delivered all the promised Stridsvagn 122 tanks to Ukraine.

The information appeared on the website of the Swedish Ministry of Defence. We are talking about 10 tanks. They are already on the battlefield in Ukraine. By the way, Sweden promised Stridsvagn 122 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the year. Since then, Ukrainian crews have been undergoing a training programme on how to use the tanks.

The Stridsvagn 122 is a modernised version of the German Leopard 2A5 tank, which is manufactured under licence in Sweden. The tank has a reinforced undercarriage, additional armour, square-shaped searchlights, safety belts, and the French GALAX smoke grenade launcher system. The Stridsvagn 122 is specially designed to fight in Swedish conditions, including wooded areas and urban terrain.
