Telegram users can now buy a name in username.t.me format. They are sold on the Fragment platform and can be used for both a personal account and a channel.

Here's What We Know

Usernames are sold through an auction, which lasts for seven days. The winner is the one whose bid ends up being the highest. The starting price of the lot is inversely proportional to the length of the username, i.e. the fewer characters, the higher the price.

You can only bid in Toncoin currency. Username can contain at least four characters. There are already some short names on the site Fragment. For example, @elon, @audi, @fifa, @dior. Their value ranges from $19,000-25,000. The most expensive lot is @bank. Now the minimum bid on it is more than $100,000.

By the way, last summer, Telegram removed some names for which there had been no activity for a year. Among them there were the already mentioned @dior and @fifa. All names of users will be presented in the form of NFT in the blockchain TON.
