YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits released an interesting video in which the author showed a comparison of different versions of GTA 5 to demonstrate how the developers improved its technical performance as it was released on more modern platforms.

Recall, GTA V was originally released in September 2013 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, on PS4 and Xbox One it was released in 2014, on PC the crime action game was ported in 2015, and after a few more years the developers updated the game and released it on the current PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. In early March 2025, the controversial Enhanced version was released on PC.

The author of the video showed how the game changed in terms of lighting, reflections, detail and resolution. In short, Rockstar Games managed to significantly improve all elements of GTA V, except for the facial animation, which now looks outdated and a bit ridiculous.
