Musk promises that Twitter will increase character limit from 280 to 4,000
After Elon Musk bought Twitter, he made quite a few controversial decisions and controversial innovations. However, some changes will still have a positive effect.
Here's What We Know
For example, there have been rumors recently that Twitter will raise the character limit per tweet to 4000. And Musk confirmed this: when asked by a user whether the social network has such plans, he answered "Yes" briefly.
Initially, the maximum number of characters allowed was only 140, and in 2017 that limit was increased to 280. Going up to 4,000 characters would increase the limit by nearly 15 times!
Unfortunately, Musk didn't give any details or a timeline for when exactly Twitter would allow users to write longer posts.
