By the end of the year, Amazon will begin using the MK27-2 drone to deliver packages in California and Texas, but a replacement has already been introduced for the drone. It is called the MK30.

Here's What We Know

The new one has a few key differences compared to the existing drones that Amazon uses to deliver goods. First, it creates less noise. Second, the MK30 can fly in the rain.

The delivery drone is a hexacopter. It can take off and land vertically. The drone will be used to achieve Amazon's main goal, which is to deliver packages weighing up to 2 kg within 30 minutes of placing an order right to the customer's door.

The drone will go into service in 2024. The drone courier was presented at the Delivering The Future conference along with the Sparrow robotic arm.
