Lockheed Martin UK will deliver more than 260 Indago 4 and Stalker VXE30 drones to the UK for $157.5 million
The United Kingdom has ordered more than 250 reconnaissance-level Indago 4 and Stalker VXE30 drones.

The U.K. Ministry of Defense has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin UK to deliver 159 Indago 4 rotary-wing and 105 Stalker VXE30 fixed-wing drones. They will replace the Desert Hawk 3 unmanned aircraft systems, which will be retired by the end of 2024. The cost of the deal was £129 million ($157.5 million).
The Stalker VXE30 is a drone that weighs about 20 kilograms and has a wingspan of about 5 meters. The silent drone can take off vertically and shoot for eight hours. It has a range of 60 miles (almost 100 km).
The Indago 4 is a compact drone that weighs only 2.27 kg. The drone can be folded up and carried in a backpack. Deployment of the system takes about 2 minutes. The UAV has a range of 8 miles (about 13 km). It is equipped with cameras that can identify objects, people and vehicles during the day and at night.
